Ege Doganay

I am a junior undergraduate student in Electrical Engineering, working on robot learning and contact-rich manipulation. I’m fortunate to be advised by Professor Özgür Öğüz as the part of LIRA (Learning for Intelligent Robotic Agents)@Bilkent and Professor Orhan Arıkan during my research on model compression and efficiency. Previously, I have worked on stereo-vision models under the supervision of Professor Xie MING during my Research Fellowship at NTU, Singapore.

My research interests are contact-rich manipulation, generalization and few-shot learning for robot policies, long-horizon task planning and policy efficiency.

Outside the time I dedicate to my research and ventures, I am a mentor at Cartesian Robotics, a STEM community that I have founded during my highschool years as an initiative to create resources for ambitious teenagers from all demographies; now became a leading national community, colaborating with National Education Ministry and reaching to thousands.

Besides, I play the piano and take photos. Chopin and Mendelshon are my favourite composers!
